Habitat for Humanity – Women Build

In addition to my full-time business & my full-time day job, I’m also on the PR committee of the local Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build. This year, we are raising money AND building a home for a very deserving mother & daughter in Stephens City.  If you ladies haven’t heard of the Tiara Tuesday celebrations by now, then you are seriously missing out!  One Tuesday every month we have a get-together of women dedicated to raising money & awareness for our project (and by “get-together”, I mean usually over a hundred women turning out for music, food, beverage & fun!).  Each month is hosted by a different location, and each time I am amazed by how many women come out & how much fun we have.  I always take lots of photos & post them up on our own Women Build Shutterfly site that I created so everyone can see them & share with other women to get the word out. One of my good friends (and also one of my bridesmaids!), Erica Zambanini of Cabana Blue Creative, runs a fun blog dedicated solely to Women Build.  Check it out here for more information on how to get involved in the build, or where to come for the next big party!

Here’s a slideshow of some of the fun times we’ve had over the past several months… I even snuck into a few of the shots, so see if you can find me 🙂

Great job as always Lori! Your photos not only serve as a way to record our memories of Frederick County’s first Women Build, but also do a great job of documenting the way Habitat for Humanity brings people & communities together. Thanks for all of your hard work!
