I am SO excited to finally be showing off Aaron and Brittni’s wedding from last month at the Barn at York Hill. Do you remember the hottest day of the summer last month where there were warnings for everyone to stay indoors? Well, that just happened to be the day Aaron & Brittni had their wedding celebration, and the entire event from the ceremony all the way through the end of the reception was outside. Needless to say I was a bit concerned about how everyone would hold up in the scorching 114 degree heat index, but I had nothing to fear. This couple and their amazing friends and family rolled with it and made it such a pleasurable day to remember. It is rare that I actually enjoy sitting at my desk for days and days and days at a time editing a wedding, but I literally had a smile on my face the entire time! Not only is Brittni gorgeous (she hates hearing that, but I can’t help it because it’s SO TRUE!!!), she is a complete joy to be around. Nothing could have ruined her great mood, and it totally showed through in her wedding day photography. Even the sky seemed to reward them after sunset with an amazing show of it’s own. Wait until you see those images below! Here is only a small selection of some of my favorites from their wedding day.
Also, special thanks to Erica Danille Photography for being my trusty second shooter for this wedding.

Aaron ordered these super sweet bottles of beer for each of his groomsmen (as well as himself, of course!). So awesome!
The guys weren’t the only ones toasting to the day ahead!
First Look!!! LOVE!!!
Even though Sugar Whipped used an extra special heat-tolerant fondant, it was no match for the 114 degree heat inside the barn. So instead of letting it fall into oblivion, they took it apart into two cakes which not only made it last for the rest of the day, but I think it makes the sweets table look even better! I think more bakers should do this! (Here’s one shot of the before so you can compare for yourself)
I loved this outdoor seating area with the candle globes hanging in the tree. So romantic!
Brittni must have known how much I love tacos, because she had a taco bar just for me! Haha, just kidding… but seriously, how awesome is this? Of course, she still had the traditional meal as well, but I saw more people go after this instead. Catering by Margarita did a phenomenal job with the entire dinner. Highly recommended!
I’ve posted a few weddings that had “The Shoe Game” lately, but this one was updated compliments of DJ Mark Peters with Club Atlantic DJs. Instead of holding a shoe that has been stomping around the germ-infested ground all day in God knows what, Mark used cutout heads of each of them and renamed it “The Who Game”. The same amount of laughter, but with considerably less ickyness
Right after sunset, the skies caught on fire and everyone was enjoying the constantly changing views.
You know I had to pull them away for 5 minutes to get some of that goodness 😉
Here are some random shots around the reception going into dark. I love this barn venue so much! Such character and charm!
